The Pronoun
The Pronoun:
To define it we can simply say that a word use in the place of a noun. It mean the word which is use in the place noun.
ایک لفظ جواسم کی جگہ استعمال ہوتا ہےاسم ضمیر کہلاتاہے۔
Example:
Mr.Ali often comes in our house. All the members of our family love and like Mr. Ali. Mr. Ali also likes and loves us very much. Mr.Ali is like a member of our family.

Mr.Ali often comes in our house. All the members of our family love and like him. He also likes and loves us very much. He is like a member of our family.
(Here….He,Him, is use for Mr.Ali )
Antecedent:
A pronoun refers or relates to some noun which comes in right before this pronoun,its antecedent.
For example:
Here is the pen which i wanted to purchase.
(The Pen is Antecedent of pronoun which..)
The Kind of Pronoun:
Pronouns are generally classified into many different kinds but the most important are these:
- Person pronouns.
- Possessive pronouns.
- Relative pronouns.
- interrogative pronouns.
- Distributive pronouns.
Personal Pronouns:
Cases of Personal pronouns:
I, we, you, he she, it and they are personal pronouns because they stand for there persons:

Possessive Pronoun:
Possessive pronoun show possession of a thing.
For example:
This is their house. |
یہ گھر ان کا ہے
|
This bike is mine. |
یہ بئیک میرا ہے
|
Is his pen yours? |
کیا یہ پن تمہارا ہے
|
These are their books |
یہ کتابیں ان کی ہیں
|
Is this their farm house? |
کیا یہ ان کا فارم ہاوٗس ہے

Relative Pronoun:
Generally they serve two purposes;
They are use in the place of a noun which has been use earlier in the sentence. and they also join two clauses. The relative pronouns are :
Who, which, what, that
For example:
He is that one who came in our house yesterday. |
یہ وہی ہے جو کل میرے گھر آیا تھا۔
|
This is the very mobile which I want to purchase now. |
یہی وہ موبائل ہے جسے میں اب خریدنا چاہتا ہوں
|
These are the items that were sold by him yesterday. |
یہی وہ چیزیں ہیں جو اس سے کل بیچی گئیں
